When the cameras are off, the real action begins.

Greg Hicks is a Hollywood power player. For years he's enjoyed the perks that come with being a top director and producer: the influence, the wealth...the women. But none of his many conquests have ever possessed the incredible sensuality of the young woman he once watched lose all inhibition in front of his camera.

Sabrina Rodriquez's life is far from a Hollywood dream. Refusing to make the same mistakes as her unlucky-in-love mother, she's focused on her first real job and avoiding all distractions, especially those of the male variety. Yet a man as compelling as Greg is difficult to ignore. And the desires he awakens are even harder to quench.

While a winter storm rages, a night at Haven Retreat leaves Sabrina's and Greg's temperatures rising. As Greg introduces Sabrina to the pleasures of voyeurism and exhibition, she unleashes his most decadent passions—and his creativity. But having Sabrina as a muse isn't enough. He wants her to take a starring role in his bed...and in his heart.

Julian teases readers with the promise of a kinky encounter in a secretive salon, but the climax of the third Salon Games novel (after No Reservations) is dully vanilla. Burned-out movie producer Greg Hicks has had a crush on lingerie model Sabrina Rodriquez ever since he photographed her. Even though he’s 37 and she’s 23, Sabrina is nursing a reciprocal crush. When they get snowed in together at a Pennsylvania resort, they give in to their lust. They try to keep the affair
discreet, but friends automatically intuit what’s going on and deliver sage relationship advice such as “He’s just a guy and guys aren’t great about saying what they really mean.” Trite conflations of possessive jealousy and true love will turn off romance fans, and the more kink-aware will be dismayed by Greg’s belated
realization that perhaps he should have asked permission before pushing boundaries.

Greg Hicks has hit rock bottom, again. Drunk, disheveled, and incredibly jaded, he has fled Los Angeles, with its host of problems, in an attempt to finish the screenplay that will rejuvenate his career. But concentration proves elusive as ever when Sabrina Rodriguez, Haven Hotel's star employee, reappears in his life. Alone and snowed in at the hotel, the two finally give in to the passion that's been brewing since they first met. While both realize there's more than sex between them, neither is prepared for the complications life throws their way as they explore this new relationship. Though the alternating points of view can make the cat and mouse nature of Greg and Sabrina's relationship a bit repetitive, the interactions between the two are sassy, snarky, and hot as hell. Greg and Sabrina sizzle together, both in and out of bed. Julian (By Private Invitation; No Reservations) refreshes the concept of sensuality with blazing descriptions of tangible chemistry flaring from her protagonists. Bumps abound, with uncertainty, insecurity, and jealousy driving a wedge between Greg and Sabrina at every opportunity, but the tale ends on a sweet note, with the promise of a healthy, happy relationship. VERDICT For erotica fans seeking a side of heavy romance.
