《骚动的香巴拉》是扎西达娃文化大革命期间，倾其全部心血，精心创作的一部长篇小说。作品自成世界，各类人物在此集合，故事情节多向展开，语言较前更加炉火纯青。作品主要以1959年西藏民主改革和十年动乱（1966—1976）为时代背景，运用新奇的艺术手法，透过社会激烈动荡的方方面面，描绘了各阶层人物的思想动态和行为表现，构成一幅既现实又虚幻的画卷。（Fury of the Shambhala is a full-length novel Tashi Dawa painstakingly created dumping all his efforts during the period of Cultural Revolution. The work forms a world on its own, all kinds of character collect there, the story line unfolds in multiple directions, and the language is at a higher degree of professional proficiency than the previous ones. The work is mainly based on the 1959 democratic reform in Tibet and the Ten Years of Chaos (1966-1976), adopting novel artistic techniques, seeing through all aspects of social turbulence, describes the ideological trends and behaviors of all levels of people, and constitutes a realistic and illusory picture.）
