《心經》即是般若。「般若」是什麼？，便是「智慧」的意思。「智慧」又分為「世間性」和「出世間性」兩種。在世為人謀生活，乃至福國利民的事業，都離不了「智慧」，沒有它，什麼事也辦不好，這是它在「世間法」上的地位。《金剛經》的最偉大之處，是超越了一切宗教性，但又包含了一切宗教性。經文句句乃寶中之寶，妙意盡藏。句句說理說空，句句都可貫通全經，隨拈一句體悟到位，皆可由此悟道。一般人禪修者視其為修心的指針、開悟的鑰匙。
